Version 6.4 is now available for download from our web site: www.southbysouthwest.com. Exciting new features include:

On April 27th and 28th, 18 resellers and end users attended our training workshop in Orlando Florida. Although it was a bit crowded, everyone had a chance to learn about the system features and practice on one of the 10 computers. Some of the attendees arrived early and visited Disney World and other attractions in the area. Rumor has it that Mickey is really a girl under that suit.
Our next workshop is targeted for mid-July in northern New Jersey. Please call for information.
A special welcome is extended to all new Dynamite installations:
From computer services to lawn sprinkler repair to manufacturer warranty coverages, Dynamite 2000 makes the grade.
Vision Point Enhanced
SBT has just begun shipping build 904 of Vision Point 2000. The most significant feature included is support for Windows printer drivers. In other words, if you are running the Windows version of VP2000, you will be able to select any of those printers with the standard Windows selection screens. SBT is offering upgrades for current VP2000 customers for only $15 until June 30th.
Current SBT Versions Supported
Version 6.0 and above is certified for use with the newly released SBT Professional 5.0. Dynamite must be ordered specifying the Visual Fox Pro 5.0 platform.
Dynamite 2000 is also compatible with current SBT versions including Vision Point, VP2000, Professional Series 2.5, 3.0i, and 3.2i. Further, DY2000 is compatible with DOS versions of these SBT products.

During the first two weeks of April, SBT staff including Bob Davies, Bill Mills, Lane Giles, Susan Sheridan, and David Dierke conducted dealer meetings around the country. The dealers were briefed on SBTs marketing, technical support, and software development plans.
A major portion of the meeting was dedicated to listening. SBT has an excellent track record of paying attention to what the reseller has to say. This ability to listen has improved SBTs products and strengthened its market position.
Preliminary details for SBTs annual reseller conference were provided. This year, the meeting will be held in San Rafael starting on October 4th.
Year 2000 Heads Up
If you are running SBT Pro 3.0 or earlier, you will need to upgrade before the beginning of your fiscal year 2000 because of the way that the SBT General Ledger works. If your fiscal year ends on July 31st, for example, data records for fiscal year 2000 will be created when you close the year ending July 31, 1998.
If you are running Vision Point Series 8 or lower, you should upgrade to Vision Point 2000. Even though you do not have to upgrade immediately, dont wait until the last minute. The average SBT reseller is busier than ever and their workload is only getting worse. Experienced SBT technicians may not be available if you wait until the last minute to upgrade.
The sooner you upgrade, the sooner you can smile at those still struggling with the 2000 challenge.
On May 28th and 29th, South By Southwest will be participating in the SBT Roundup in Dallas Texas, an annual event organized by Steve Morin of Software Generation. The participants include the largest SBT Vertical Industry Partners including: TIW, Comptrol, Lahey, Skyline, and ourselves. Thursday, May 28th is reserved for current and prospective customers of SBT software. There will be vendor booths and presentations by both SBT staff and the vertical partners. On Friday, sessions will be conducted for SBT resellers.
If youre planning to be in the neighborhood, give Steve a call for a reservation at 800-732-3001.
