Version 3.2i Supported

Dynamite 2000 is compatible with all current SBT versions including Vision Point, VP2000, Professional Series 2.5, 3.0i, and now 3.2i. Further, DY2000 is compatible with DOS versions of SBT even though it is strictly a Windows product.

If a Dynamite customer wishes to stay in the DOS world, we support versions 6.3, 7, Vision Point, VP2000, and Pro 2.5 and above. No enhancements are planned for our DOS version.

Pricing Changes

Effective March 28, 1997, the price for Dynamite 2000 was changed.

The compiled 5-user version for Pro was increased to $2,000 and lowered to $1,000 for Vision Point. Additional 5-user licenses are $500 and source code is available for an additional $1,000.

Insider's Usage Tip...

Dynamite contains advanced features that many users are not initially aware of. After using the system for a few months, most people are ready to start investigating additional features.

Click on Change Setup Information in the File Section of the menu. There are two screens: the first specifies general system options and the second concentrates on service-related features.

General Options

Company name and address - independent of SBT's information.

Sales Tax Information - used to pre-fill new customer records.

System Access - Change to the permanent key code on this screen. Remember, the key code is dependent upon the exact spelling of your company name. If you need a new key code, just call us.

Miscellaneous - Try the new Short Cut Menu.

Pricing Options - Category pricing provides additional flexibility for product pricing that calculates a percentage off list.

User fields - Keep track of information unique to your organization. The field values appear on each customer's Equipment ID record and can be added to the work order if desired.

Path name - Location of Dynamite data and program files. Change only if necessary and under the guidance of your reseller.

Service Configuration

Automatic Number Assignments - All numbers will be used to add unique records to one of three data bases.

Contract Discounts - A standard contract amount can be discounted based upon length of customer commitment.

Labor Cost - Used in flat rate pricing and other costing reports.

Flat Rate Tax - Using flat rate pricing implies that the sales tax is imbedded in the price. This option specifies the base for that calculation.

Personnel - The service manager's name can be printed on contracts and service orders. The staff title will change the screen/report default name, Technician, to a name meaningful to you: Plumber, Electrician, Slave, etc.

First Scheduled Call Time - Affects the display of the Dispatch Board.

Order Scheduling Delay - Adds this many days to the current date. If you normally take care of the customers on the same day, enter zero here.

Dispatch Board Version - Version One displays nine technicians across the screen and schedules in half-hour increments. Version Two displays only five technicians but provides address and problem information.

Contract Form Version - There are 2 different contracts already programmed, DYRPEF-1 and DYRPEF-2. If you want to design your own version, you will need to program it with Fox Pro. Version X has been reserved for your use..

Service Order Version - 18 report versions are included with the system, DYRPSO-0. Use version X if you design your own report

Copy problem to invoice - The problem will appear as an invoice comment, up to six lines long.

Technician is salesman - The technician code initials will be entered in the invoice salesman field.

Combine contract invoices - Will create a single invoice for a customer with multiple service contracts generated at the same time.

Generate notational invoices - Will create invoices with a zero extended price and zero cost, normally skipped by Dynamite.

Invoice contracts automatically - When generating agreement invoices, all contracts that need to be created will be generated. Alternatively, you can turn on the flag OK to generate or create an invoice from the Equipment ID screen.

Validate components to SBT inventory - Checks to see if the ID's component is defined in inventory thus insuring that it is spelled correctly. This does not affect inventory stocking values.

Use SBT transaction categories - Uses the categories specified for each item-customer combination. If unchecked, the codes contained in Type Code will be used. See Table Maintenance.

Automatically update contract amount - Will sum the contract amounts included on each component record and place the total in the Equipment ID record.
